Schedule for Final Night – 3 December 2013

All teams qualifying for the final night are now known and will play Tuesday 3 December 2013. These games will conclude the club Spring 2013 competition.

On behalf of the PFC committee,

I would like to thank all players and family for supporting Peninsula Floorball Club. Special thanks to Tanya, Julie, Mitch, Alan, John, Darren, Jason and all volunteers who dedicate their time to support the junior/intermediate competition. It is the contribution of so many that makes our club so special.

I wish all players good luck on the night….play well, play fair and most importantly have fun. It is just a game after all. I wish that at the end of the evening, the biggest winner will be the sport of Floorball.

Wish all players and their family a merry Xmas and all the best for the new year.

Senior Semi-Finals – Results 26/11/2013

Patriots will be competing for the first time in the Grand-Final.

After a well disputed game, Patriots defeated Pythons 2-1. Patriots dominated the first period and created several chances to score but John Jay keeping for Pythons was in great form but conceeded one goal from a mid-distance shot from Nic Watterson. Pythons became more dangerous in the second period and equalised from a mid-distance shot from Daniel Sottaz. The third period saw both team creating scoring opportunities but only Jason Pratt could score and qualify his team for next week grand-final. Overall Patriots deserve to play the Grand-Final having completed their best season. We wish them and Fighting Ibis good luck in the last game of this competition.

Senior Semi-Finals – Results 19/11/2013

A draw against Patriots was enough for Fighting Ibis to secure a spot in the Grand-Final after finishing top of the table of normal competition.

Players of both team must be congratulated for playing probably the best game of the competition. Good passing and some great goals. Great game to watch.

The second semi was a close game with Pythons winning the game over Scorpions 2-1. Next week, Patriots and Pythons will be playing for a spot in the Grand-Final.

Our yearly penalty shoot-out competition will take place after next week semi-final game.
